There is a difference in serial recall of short-term and long-term memory. It has been seen in different studies that more recently happened events are more easily remembered in order. The memory recall decreases when the items increase on the list. Primacy effect and recency effect are also observed in serial recall.

The 3.13X1G code allows the CA to read and display data from a NMEA output GPS sensor, including position, elevation, heading, time etc. Normally this would be achieved with a simple modification to the GPS Analogger device by connecting the GPS's output to the CA's serial input line via the existing TRS cable. The data output stream saved by the analogger then includes a single file with synchronized position information which simplifies uploading and viewing on our trip analyzer web application.
Succesful communication with the Cycle Analyst for firmware updates and bulk setting changes requires a serial communication cable, which is plugged into the TRS jack on the Cycle Anlayst. Grin offers a USB->TTL serial communications cable with a nice 3 meter (9 feet) lead length to make it easier to reach the CA on your bike from a computer. This USB cable must be recognized as a COM port on your computer in order for the software to function. In general, both windows and MacOS will automatically install the correct drivers, but if your device is having issues recognizing the USB cable as a COM port it may be necessary to manually download the Virtual Com Port (VCP) drivers from FTDI
Serial Transmit (Tx): This is the 0-5V TTL serial data transmission line. It outputs a steady stream of info (9600 baud, 8 bit) for datalogging purposes, and is also used by the bootloader to verify flash updates.
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that these are logical assumptions necessary for us to prioritize serial work; but rather insofar as these assumptions don't hold, prioritizing work that looks serial to us is less important at the margin.
Also, on a re-read I notice that all the examples given in the post relate to mathematics or theoretical work, which is almost uniquely serial among human activities. By contrast, engineering disciplines are typically much more parallelizable, as evidenced by the speedup in technological progress during war-time.
One caveat to the claim that we should prioritize serial alignment work over parallelizable work, is that this assumes an omniscient and optimal allocator of researcher-hours to problems. Insofar as this assumption doesn't hold (because our institutions fail, or because the knowledge about how to allocate researcher-hours itself depends on the outcomes of parallelizable research) the distinction between parallelizable and serial work breaks down and other considerations dominate.
Excellent crime drama from David Fincher about an investigative journalist with a tarnished reputation, who agrees to write a biography on a wealthy industrialist's family. They really want him to uncover the mystery behind their niece, who disappeared 40 years previously. When he makes a connection between the niece and some serial killings 20 years before her disappearance, he recruits the help of an eccentric and gifted computer hacker to help solve the mystery. Daniel Craig delivered a great lead role, but it's Rooney Mara who steals the show with her jaw-dropping performance. She was excellent. Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgård, Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick van Wageningen, Joely Richardson, Goran Visnjic, and many others had a great supporting roles.
Lenihan's self-confidence is justified. His academic record is probably without parallel in Leinster House. A serial scholarship winner, educated at Belvedere, TCD and Cambridge, a barrister and a lecturer in law, Brian has brain power. The mandarins will hate that. 2ff7e9595c
